Documentary Series

The Finke River is the oldest river in the world running through the heart of Central Australia. It’s home to the oldest culture in the world and its past, present and future is a story about culture, environment, art, climate change, totems and song lines. In a unique documentary series Western Arrente man Damien Williams, a former ranger who grew up in Hermannsburg, and Lille Madden, An Arrente woman whose family connections trace all over Central Australia, will travel the Finke taking viewers on an intimate and engaging journey. Along the way they will meet local characters, scientists, rangers, traditional owners, artists, historians, archaeologists and palaeontologists all of who will bring knowledge and stories of this mighty river.
